SICC Youth Camp believes Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin and crucified for our sins. He is resurrected and sitting at the right hand of God to intercede for us. His birth, death, and resurrection provide the only way of salvation to bring us into right relationship with God the Father. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Ephesians 2:8-9)
We believe in the Trinity; God the Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Ghost. (John 15:26)
We believe in baptism as an outward sign of the inward change. We do not believe in baptism as the way to salvation. If a camper accepts Christ as their savior at
camp or prior to and desires baptism, a class explaining baptism will be provided. With parental permission, the camper may be baptized on Friday at 11:45am
before camp ends. (Matthew 28:19)
SICC Youth Camp believes in marriage, established by God, as a union between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31). Further, SICC Youth Camp
holds that, in accordance with scripture, sexual intimacy/activity is appropriate only in the marriage relationship. (1 Corinthians 7:2, Hebrews 13:4).
SICC Youth Camp believes God has created two distinct and complimentary genders, male and female, and each person is created in accordance with God’s perfect design. (Genesis 1:27, Matthew 19:4).
Accordingly, SICC Youth Camp views the following behaviors as inappropriate and contrary to scripture: Any sexual intimacy or sexual act
between individuals who are not married to each other. Any marriage or civil union that is not between one man and one woman. Any attempt to adopt or present as
a different gender than that at birth. Any other activity, teaching, or behavior that is contrary to a biblical view of marriage, gender and/or appropriate behavior as outlined in this provision.
All staff involved in the ministry of SICC Youth Camp are expected to uphold the ministry’s perspective on marriage, gender, sexual intimacy and appropriate
behavior as set forth in this statement. All camp operations, including the assignment of cabins and classes will be done according to this provision.
